ABOUT

As the sun paints the rocks with fire and the indigo of the night starts covering us like a blanket, we warm our feet on the stones surrounding the fire pit. The campfire crackling, we share stories and dreams, hopes and fears, and talk the night away.

To have those moments with the one special someone in our lives is what I'm yearning.

I’m here searching with warm feelings and optimism. Each relationship I’ve had since the divorce has taught me more and more about what it takes being part of a healthy and loving relationship, and you know what? I like it. I don’t mind the dance of getting to know each other. I’ve learned to be unselfish and supportive, a true partner, a passionate friend, and a caring companion.

What I bring to the relationship for the right woman is an ability to communicate. I never anger, I’ve learned what’s important in life, and I have a positive spirit and can express myself in positive ways. I’m able to hear and understand or learn what it is that you need and want. And at some stage, I know I’ll meet the woman whose needs and wants mesh with mine, and it’s going to be amazing.

I’ve learned that the woman also must be a good communicator. That ranges from the middle-of-the-day texted heart to a conversation after work about our day and maybe a quick good night sharing of feelings before lights out. I didn’t read the book, but have been told my love language strengths are affirmations and acts of service. Our communication is non-judgmental, kind words even in disagreement, and strength in finding solutions.

She’s active because I have an active and healthy lifestyle – well, 80-20 on the healthy…maybe 70-30 – but always doing. I enjoy downtime and cuddling and a move in, but there’s not enough day to do everything.

My primary activities are cycling –I do cycle long distances … 30 to 50 miles at a time – but I’d like to share some of the distance at a comfortable pace with you. I like hiking, not as much, but enough to hit the preserves. I’m enthusiastic at exploring the canyons of northern Arizona and southern Utah. I am most compatible with a woman who enjoys t hiking or cycling.

This isn't a deal-breaker, but I’m also a glamping camper, and have upgraded to a tent to stand in, comfortable full-height beds (cots with mattresses) and a solar hot water shower. I prefer back country camping to developed campgrounds. I’m also an excellent chef over the campfire or in the kitchen.

If you’re seeking a kind man, a man of integrity and accountability for his words and deeds, then I could be a man you’d at least want to talk with before clicking the “No way” button. I do believe in a degree of photo chemistry, but I’ve found it’s meeting in person that determines whether there is a click or not. One of my longest relationships came with someone I almost didn’t want to meet because of bad pictures. So let’s look to our souls and spirits and talk about getting together just to check it out.

I’m looking for just one good connection…I want this one to go the distance. How about you?

What I am looking for

I'm seeking a woman interested in co-creating a healthy and loving committed relationship. She should be active and enjoy hiking and camping, hopefully cycling as well.

P.S., please have the confidence in who you are today to have photos that show the beauty into whom you have matured with life. We all change, and it's well into 2017.. My photos reflect that.
