Hi, my name is Michael Mathis, but you can call me Jayhawk. I have been a proud truck driver for 4 years now. I currently am a truck driver for the company, Smith Transport. My job to me is very important, I am one of very few people that can actually say that I am doing what I love, I am living the dream I have always wanted. I am very thankful for the opportunities that I have been given. but it means nothing if I don't share it with my family. My family, well let's just say that they are a weird bunch but I love them. I have so much to be thankful for but I wouldn't be the man I am today without my family. The three people in my life that have been a very huge inspiration in my life are my grandfather, Roy A. Mathis, my grandmother Linda A Mathis and my father, Tony Jay Mathis. It was them who helped mold me into the man I am today.
What motivates me to do what I do? Well my family needs some inspiration to. I think what drives me to do what I do would most definitely be my loved ones. If I slack off, then it will show my family members, my siblings, the ones I devote my entire life for, it will show them that dreams aren't worth fighting for. I can't let them down."I am a true family man, and my personality is pretty easy going to get along with, I stand up for what I believe in and I don’t know when to quit. I am brutally honest and I really don't care if it hurts someone's feelings. I treat people the way that I wish to be treated.
